A cruise for Christmas is already pretty magical, but Carnival Cruise Line is adding an extra sprinkle of holiday joy this year—by letting guests rock one of the season’s most beloved traditions: Christmas pajamas!
Sure, celebrations at sea can look a little different from the cozy routines back home, but Carnival is giving cruisers permission to keep the matching-PJ fun alive. Families who love waking up in festive flannel or candy-cane stripes can proudly parade into Christmas brunch… within reason, of course.
The announcement comes from Carnival’s ever-entertaining Brand Ambassador, John Heald, who fields a sleigh-full of quirky questions every holiday season. And yes—pajamas are one of the hottest topics.
“I’ve also had some guests asking about whether holiday pajamas are going to be allowed in the dining room for Christmas brunch,” Heald said.
His answer? A jolly, one-day-only “Go for it!”
“If you have a family tradition of having breakfast (or brunch) in your holiday pajamas, the ships are advised to make a one-time exception on Christmas morning to the ‘no pajamas’ rule.”
Normally, pajamas are a no-go in the Main Dining Room. Carnival’s dress guidelines don’t specifically say “no PJs,” but they do make it clear that anything sheer, skimpy, or more naughty than nice won’t fly.
So go ahead—break out the matching plaid, the reindeer onesies, or the gingerbread jammies. On Christmas morning, Carnival is all aboard the pajama party express! (Just make sure they are Family Friendly!)
